1979 Season
Head Coach: Sylvia Matczak
Great potential and sportsmanship were just two of the qualities that led Coach Jackson's Boys Cross Country team and Coach Matazak's Girls Cross Country team to a highly successful season. The boys were guided down the path to victory as they won the Andrew and Niles West Sophomore Invitational Championship and placed second in conference to end the season with a 10-2 record. Doing just as superbly as the boys were the girls who tied for a second place rating and ended the year with an amazing 7-3 record. Both teams showed much spirit and enthusiasm which greatly contributed to their success!
