2009 Season

Junior Marisol Magallanes started cross country in middle school and she decided to stick with it and is still running.
"I like cross country because it is a great self-discipline sport," Magallanes said. "You have to set personal goals, and every week you have to work hard to accomplish these goals."
The team has had few injuries even of the varsity level. Normally there are several injuries during the season.
"All the girls are working hard," said coach Janeen Bonner. "A lot of personal records have been broken this year."
Cross country required teammates to support each other to succeed and to push them to break goals that they had set for themselves.
"We are proud of the girls' accomplishments during the team," coach Gail Huster said.
The team worked hard to keep their place in the conference. They hope to carry their success onto next season and make improvements.
