On to Sectionals

The Hornets were ranked fifth in the Regional with the top six teams moving on to the Sectional meet at Kaneland. The girls ran outstanding to finish fourth with 108 points ahead of Fenwick's 151 points. Abby Petersen finished in fifth with a time of 20:12 to earn All-Sectional honors. No one on the team ran a P.R. because of the difficulty of the KLM course and the hot conditions, but a fourth place finished showed the girls are running great at the right time of the season.

Abby Petersen - 20:12 (5th Place)
Abby ran only two seconds off of her KLM P.R. and earned All-Regional honors for the only time in her high school running career.
Anna Wilcox - 22:04 (21st Place)
Anna ran her fastest time at KLM.
Elena Garcia - 22:20 (23rd Place)
Tian Schulte - 22:23 (25th Place)
Tian ran her fastest time at KLM and finished in the top five on varsity for the first time this season.
Annabella Ramirez - 23:05 (34th Place)
Annabella ran her fastest time at KLM.
Charlotte Old - 24:06 (44th Place)
Andy Esposito - 24:54 (51st Place)
Andy ran her fastest time at KLM and ran great given she was a last-minute fill-in who wasn't expecting to run.
