1991 Season
Head Coach: Mike Madsen
"Dedication, good endurance, and intelligence are the most important qualities of a runner," says cross country coach Mike Madsen. All of these characteristics were displayed by his team this year.
Led by All-Conference runner Leigh Krietsch, the girls went on to a final record of 4-2 in dual meets, placing third overall in conference. Memorable events of the season included a second place finish in the Bloom Invitational, and their qualification as a team for the sectional meet for the first time in almost a decade.
Coach Madsen described his team as having a successful season. "This group of girls was relatively even in talent and worked together really well," he added.
Junior Sarah Luetkemeter agreed. "It was a good season because the team got along and worked well together."
The MVP this year was Krietsch, and Most Improved was Lori Lazansky.
